Gantry-type siphon sludge remover
It is typically used in horizontal-flow sedimentation tanks for water supply projects. Compared with sludge scrapers, its advantage is that the sludge it pumps does not disturb the water body; however, its moisture content is relatively high (generally above 99%).
Inquire About This ProductConfiguration
- It mainly consists of a truss, walkway panels, a drive mechanism, a sludge‑suction system, a sludge scraper, and a vacuum system, along with fasteners. Its auxiliary components include traveling rails, power cables, and an electrical control cabinet, among others. The sludge‑suction method is siphon‑type: water enters at one end via a distribution wall and exits at the other end through a collection trough, with the unit reciprocating to suction and discharge sludge from the bottom of the tank. A submersible pump equipped with a water‑jet injector or a vacuum pump is used to generate vacuum, leveraging the liquid‑level difference between the sedimentation tank and the sludge‑discharge trough to remove sludge.
Features
- The sludge is discharged directly outside the tank, thereby preventing any movement of contaminants and reducing sludge interference. When siphon conditions are met—typically a water level difference of 2.5 meters—a siphon-type sludge remover can be used, eliminating the need for a sludge pump; otherwise, a pump‑driven sludge remover must be employed.
