Inclined-tube (plate) sedimentation tank
It is designed based on the sedimentation principle for removing fractional particles in a horizontal-flow sedimentation tank. At a constant horizontal flow velocity V, the Reynolds number Re can be significantly reduced, thereby minimizing backflow and enhancing sedimentation. Additionally, it shortens the settling distance of particles, reduces settling time, and improves sedimentation efficiency.

- The inclined-tube (or plate) sedimentation tank is equipped with inclined tubes set at a 60-degree angle above the sludge‑suspension layer. This arrangement allows suspended particles, solid matter, or floc formed after coagulant addition to accumulate as a thin sludge layer on the underside of the inclined plates. Under the action of gravity, this sludge slides down into the sludge‑suspension layer and then settles into the sludge hopper, from where it is discharged via the sludge‑removal pipe to a sludge‑treatment pond for further processing or for comprehensive utilization. Meanwhile, the clarified supernatant gradually rises to the collection pipe and is discharged, either for direct release or for reuse.
