Dissolved Air Flotation Unit (Horizontal Flow Type)
A solid–liquid or liquid–liquid separation process, primarily used to remove fine suspended particles, colloids, and oil and grease substances that are difficult to settle and have a relative density close to that of water.

- During the air flotation process, a large number of fine, uniform bubbles (10–100 µm) are formed. These tiny bubbles serve as carriers, thoroughly mixing with, contacting, and adhering to suspended floc particles in the water, thereby forming air‑entrained flocs that rise to the liquid surface. The three‑phase mixture of bubbles, water, and flocs (including oil) is collected by a skimmer or foam scraper to remove impurities and purify the water. In dissolved‑air flotation systems, air is dissolved into water under high pressure until it approaches saturation; upon release to atmospheric pressure, the supersaturated dissolved air precipitates out as minute bubbles, driving the flotation process.
